Become a Mentor

We’re seeking passionate executives with coaching and mentoring skills to help shape the next generation of leaders.

Mentors are asked to commit to a minimum of one hour per month for meetings with their mentee, along with attending our virtual kick off on Wednesday, January 22nd and the in-person graduation ceremony, which is planned to take place at MES Fall in September. As a mentor, your primary role will be to provide tailored guidance and support based on your mentee's unique developmental needs. Throughout the mentoring relationship, you may take on various roles, including:.

Coach/Advisor: Offer advice, share insights, and provide constructive feedback. Source of Encouragement: Serve as a sounding board for ideas and career choices, offering valuable perspective. Resource Person: Help identify resources for your mentee’s growth and expand their professional network.

Sponsor: Advocate for your mentee, seeking opportunities to enhance their visibility. Please note: Mentors and mentees may be eligible to be recognized at the MES Fall Graduation, provided they meet all criteria qualifications.

Testimonial

“We Build Character transformed my career trajectory.  I joined their program as a mentee while I was a mid-level manager. I sought growth and found a powerful combination of targeted training and invaluable mentorship from C-level executives. The insights and guidance I received propelled me to a promotion to a senior-level position shortly after completing the program. I was so impressed by the impact, and after obtaining even more experience in my career, I then dedicated years as a mentor for this program.  As a mentor, I have seen the great impact over and over again on other leaders.  We Build Character develops skills and forges the leaders of tomorrow through a proven, hands-on approach that bridges the gap between potential and executive excellence.”
