Global Terms & conditions for event table bookings
1. Acceptance of Terms - By registering for, purchasing, or attending any Event (as defined below), the participant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). These Terms apply globally across all Event formats, ticket categories, table-booking packages, and participation types.
2. Definition of “Event” - “Event” refers to any conference, awards ceremony, summit, dinner, meeting, or related activity organised, hosted, or managed by The Channel Company or any of its worldwide subsidiaries, affiliates, or authorised partners (“TCC”).
3. Booking and Payment - Participants must pay all fees in full at the time of booking unless formally agreed otherwise in writing. Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been processed successfully and TCC has issued official confirmation.
4. Fee Exclusions - The Event fee covers Event attendance only. It does not include travel, accommodation, insurance, visas, or personal expenses unless expressly stated within the relevant booking package.
5. Accepted Payment Methods - Credit or debit card is the only accepted payment method. Invoice payments are available only in exceptional circumstances with prior written approval from TCC Finance and must be paid immediately upon receipt and prior to the Event.
6. Package Entitlements - Participants will receive the Event entitlements defined at the time of booking, including any applicable table-booking benefits. Any additional requirements must be pre-approved by TCC and may incur additional charges.
7. Business Attendance Warranty - By accepting these Terms, the participant warrants that they are attending the Event in the course of their business. Nothing in these Terms affects the statutory rights of any participant who is a consumer under applicable law.
8. Availability - Places at Events are limited and subject to availability. TCC does not guarantee availability until a participant receives written confirmation.
9. Refund Policy - All payments are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise or required by applicable law.
10. Transfers - A participant may request that their confirmed booking be transferred to a colleague from the same organisation. Approval is not guaranteed and is at TCC’s discretion. No transfer or assignment of a booking to any third party other than a colleague from the same organization is permitted.
11. Cancellation by TCC - TCC reserves the right to cancel a participant’s place or cancel an Event entirely. If TCC cancels the Event, its liability is limited to refunding any fees already paid.
12. Force Majeure - TCC may modify Event dates, locations, format, or times, or cancel the Event, due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control including natural disasters, fire, flood, pandemic, government restrictions, labour disputes, or technology failures.
13. Regional Governing Law - The governing law depends on the region in which the Event is hosted:
- EMEA Events: governed by the laws of England and Wales; disputes submitted to the courts of England and Wales.
- APAC Events: governed by the laws of Singapore; disputes submitted to the courts of Singapore.
- NAM (North America) Events: governed by the laws of Massachusetts; disputes submitted to the courts of Massachusetts.
- Other Regions: governed by the local jurisdiction where the Event is physically held.
14. Entire Agreement - These Terms, together with the booking confirmation and any applicable registration form, constitute the entire agreement between the participant and TCC regarding Event attendance. No additional statements or representations shall be binding unless formally incorporated into a written agreement.
15. Amendments - These Terms may not be modified except through a written agreement formally approved by both parties.
16. Limitation of Liability - To the maximum extent permitted by law, TCC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses including travel costs, accommodation, business interruption, data loss, or reputational harm. Liability is capped at the amount of fees paid for the booking.
17. Indemnity - By accepting these Terms, participants agree to indemnify TCC, its affiliates, staff, and agents against losses, claims, or damages arising from their acts or omissions during or in connection with the Event.
18. Insurance - Participants are responsible for securing any insurance they require, including travel or business insurance.
19. Photography and Media Consent - Photography and videography may take place at Events. By attending, participants consent to TCC using such media globally for promotional and editorial purposes. Participants must notify TCC in writing in advance if they object.
20. Speaker and Content Disclaimer - Views expressed by Event speakers, guests, performers, or sponsors are their own. TCC is not responsible for third-party opinions or content.
21. Entertainment and Program Content - TCC is not liable for the content, quality, or availability of entertainment elements. TCC will take reasonable steps to ensure accurate programme information.
22. Delivery of Tickets and Materials - Where physical tickets or documents are posted, risk transfers to the participant upon dispatch.
23. Behaviour and Conduct - TCC may refuse entry or remove any individual whose behaviour is inappropriate, disruptive, unsafe, unlawful, or contrary to Event policies. No refund will be issued in such cases.
24. Security - Reasonable security searches may be conducted at the venue.
25. Event Information - All Event details provided at the time of booking are correct to the best of TCC’s knowledge. Participants are responsible for checking for updates.
26. Data Protection and Privacy - By submitting personal information, participants consent to its processing for Event administration, communication, and security. TCC complies with applicable data protection regulations, including the GDPR for EU/UK participants. For details, see TCC's Privacy Policy at
